Messages in the partner portal
The Messages page in the partner portal is the channel for everything you want to discuss with Vaskeladden that isn't a specific deviation: questions about assignments, invoices, materials, capacity, or anything else. Unlike a chat message, a portal conversation has a status, and you can see whether the matter is open or resolved.
Start a conversation
Click "New conversation" at the top of the Messages page, describe the matter, and send. You can attach images in the same message. The conversation goes to Vaskeladden, and replies appear in the same thread – you'll receive a notification, and at the top of the page, you'll see how many unread messages you have.
Follow up on a matter
Each thread has a status. As long as the matter is open, you can continue writing in the thread instead of starting a new one – this keeps the entire history together. If the matter is resolved, click "Mark as resolved". If it's urgent, or you feel the matter is stalled, use "Escalate to Vaskeladden" in the thread and briefly explain why.
Some messages from Vaskeladden require confirmation that you have read them. The thread will then show a "Confirm received" button – click it, and Vaskeladden will know the message has been delivered.
The AI assistant
In messages, you can get answers from Vaskeladden's AI assistant, and there may be suggestion buttons with common questions below the thread. The assistant answers routine questions and finds information but never decides matters of responsibility, finances, or assignment changes – such questions are forwarded to the operations team in the same thread.
Why the portal and not WhatsApp?
A WhatsApp message has no status: you cannot see if it has been processed, and questions easily get lost in the group stream. A portal conversation is linked to you, can be escalated, and is only closed when the matter is actually resolved. Therefore, send reminders, invoice questions, and anything that requires follow-up as a portal conversation – that way, you won't have to ask "did you see my message?".
