Become a verified partner with BankID
What you and your company gain from confirming the owners with BankID, how to do it, what we store and what happens after the deadline
With BankID you confirm that you are the one who owns the company. It takes less than a minute and gives your company several benefits:
- We know who we work with. Once the owners have confirmed, it is harder for anyone else to pose as your company with us.
- No paperwork for you. For Norwegian companies we look up your role in Brønnøysundregistrene ourselves, so you don't need to send us documents.
- The company shows as verified. Under Profile you can see who in the company is verified.
That is why we ask every owner and administrator of a partner company to confirm with BankID.
Who must confirm?
Everyone who is an owner or administrator on the partner account must confirm themselves with their own login. If the company has several, each confirms separately. One person cannot confirm on behalf of another. Employees and cleaners are not asked.
Vaskeladden staff logged in as the partner cannot confirm for you. You must log in yourself.
Accepting the partner agreement is a separate step and does not require BankID. See How to accept the partner agreement.
How to confirm
- Log in to the partner portal as an owner or administrator. A window explains why we ask for BankID. You can also open Profile and find the card Get verified with BankID.
- Click Confirm with BankID.
- Log in with BankID. The login goes through Idura, our BankID partner.
- You return to the page you started from. The portal finishes the confirmation and shows a message about the result. If you were logged out in the meantime, log in again and it finishes afterwards, as long as less than ten minutes have passed since you started. Your name and status appear in the card under Profile.
Norwegian companies use Norwegian BankID. Swedish companies use Swedish BankID. The portal picks the right BankID from the company's organisation number.
What do we check?
Norwegian companies: We compare the name and date of birth from BankID with the open roles register in Brønnøysundregistrene. You get a match if you are listed as general manager (daglig leder), board chair, proprietor, partner (deltaker) or general partner (komplementar) in the company.
Swedish companies: BankID confirms who you are. We do not check your role against a register, because Bolagsverket has no open roles register.
What do we store?
Each confirmation is saved as its own entry, so the company has a full history of who is verified. We store:
- your name and date of birth as BankID gives them
- BankID's own id for you, the security level you used and when you logged in
- the company name and organisation number the confirmation was for
- the result of the register check and which roles Brønnøysundregistrene showed for the company at that time
- which portal user confirmed, and the IP address and browser used
We do not store your national identity number (fødselsnummer or personnummer).
Your name and status appear in the card under Profile, and Vaskeladden sees the same information.
If the company changes its organisation number, the owners must confirm again. The earlier confirmations stay in the history.
What does the status mean?
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Verified with your role, for example general manager | BankID is confirmed, and you are listed with the role in Brønnøysundregistrene. |
| BankID confirmed · not found in Brønnøysundregistrene | BankID is confirmed, but we did not find you with one of the roles above. |
| BankID confirmed | BankID is confirmed. Applies to Swedish companies, where we do not check the role. |
All three statuses mean you have confirmed your identity. If you are not in the register, Vaskeladden may contact you, but nothing is locked for that reason.
Deadline
The deadline is 23 October 2026 for every partner in Norway and Sweden. If you become an owner or administrator later, you have 14 days from that day. The window in the portal and the card under Profile show your deadline.
Feel free to do it right away. Before the deadline you can choose Remind me later. The window then returns the next time you open the portal.
If not every owner and administrator has confirmed by their deadline, the company is paused, just as when the partner agreement or the Renholdsregister approval is missing. The company then gets no new jobs, and jobs that have not started may move to another partner. Messages and the BankID card under Profile stay open.
When everyone past their deadline has confirmed, the company reopens automatically, provided the partner agreement is accepted and Renholdsregisteret does not stop the company. If Vaskeladden paused the company for another reason, Vaskeladden has to reopen it.
Common problems
BankID was cancelled or failed
If you cancel in BankID, the portal shows: "BankID was cancelled. You can try again when it suits you." If the login fails, the portal shows: "It didn't work this time. Try again, or write to us in Messages." In both cases nothing is stored. Start again from Profile.
If the button is grey and says BankID is unavailable, try again later.
BankID came back in a different browser
If you open the portal from a link in your email or SMS app, BankID may send you back to a different browser than the one you started in. Nothing is stored then, and the portal tells you so. The same happens if more than ten minutes pass before you finish in BankID. Open the partner portal directly in Safari or Chrome and try again.
I am not in the register, or I act under a power of attorney
Applies to Norwegian companies. The open register does not show powers of attorney, signatory rights or prokura. If you act under a power of attorney, or have a different role than the ones we check, BankID is still confirmed. The profile then shows "BankID confirmed · not found in Brønnøysundregistrene". Vaskeladden may contact you to clarify your role. You do not need to do anything else.
The company has several owners or administrators
Each logs in with their own account and confirms with their own BankID. One person's confirmation does not count for the others.
I do not have BankID
You need BankID from the country where the company is registered: Norwegian BankID for a Norwegian company and Swedish BankID for a Swedish company. If you do not have it, for example because you are a foreign owner without Norwegian BankID, write to Vaskeladden under Messages.
